Shadow Fold

‘Shadow Fold’ takes inspiration from Peranakan style and craft. It explores the vanishing visual heritage of the Peranakans through materiality and shadow-play, combining digital processes with handcrafted motifs of Batik textiles and techniques such as origami and beading. Design elements include 3D fabric manipulation techniques which emulate the wrapping and folding closures.
